Ticonderoga's Treasures of 1775

This unique experience highlights original museum artifacts from the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Learn more about the dramatic events, and captivating personalities of 1775 through the documents and artifacts that were there. Ethan Allen, Benedict Arnold, and Henry Knox and their experience will come to life through this tour of Ticonderoga’s treasures led by Curator Dr. Matthew Keagle.

NEW Ramparts or Ruins? A Guided Tour of Fort Ticonderoga’s Fortifications

In 1775, Fort Ticonderoga was only 20 years old and was already suffering from war and neglect. Join this after-hour guided tour to see what Fort Ticonderoga was really like as the Revolution began. Learn about the British plans to renovate Ticonderoga, and how its decay led to America’s first victory, while exploring the fortifications in depth. Explore areas off-limits to the public and learn about the ongoing preservation efforts on this storied fortress.

Premium Pavilion Tour
Tour offered Tuesdays at 1:30pm through October 14th, 2025.
Delve into the exquisite details of the newly restored 1826 Pell Pavilion, enjoying the treasured family tales within each room and each amazing object on display. This entertaining 60-minute tour examines the evolution of this National Historic Landmark, from summer home to hotel, its renovation in 1909, and its most recent complete restoration. Explore incredible examples of the museum’s decorative arts collection and archaeological artifacts recovered from the Pavilion on exhibit for the very first time.
