Teachers, Fort Ticonderoga will bring Questioning History: Guided Inquiry into Historical Documents to your virtual classroom! Bring your students an engaging discussion with our historians as they explore the Revolutionary War through the archives of Fort Ticonderoga.
Each Questioning History program features 50-minutes of student questions, answers, and discussion with our costumed educator and two moderators. This program comes with access to a database of historical documents—both images and transcriptions—from the collections of Fort Ticonderoga for students to research.
This program is ideal for grades 6-12, allowing them to formulate and think critically about their own research questions about the Revolutionary War.
Questioning History has prepared research topics including medicine, combat and tactics, supply, women and civilians, and militia. We encourage teachers to help us customize their program to their local history, student inquiries, or curriculum goals.
