Living History Event: “To Render This Place as Tenable as Possible”
The Continental Army at Ticonderoga gave hope to this new nation with their victory over the British Army on October 28, 1776, beginning their long watch over the winter to come. In this one-day living history event, witness soldiers’ preparations to hold the line of liberty, maintaining their discipline through the hardships of winter and discover the adversities they had to overcome each day as they continued to prepare Ticonderoga’s defenses.
