Homeschool Day
Fort Ticonderoga will host Homeschool Day on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 9:30am-5:00pm. Homeschool students and their parents will participate in immersive programs, visit museum exhibitions, and explore the historic site, including the King’s Garden, Carillon Battlefield Hiking Trail, and the Heroic Corn Maze.
Hands-on programming takes place throughout Fort Ticonderoga and our King’s Garden throughout the day with our historic trades, a demonstration of the soldiers’ dinner preparation, and more. Make the most of your Homeschool Day with “In Search of Liberty,” an engaging Student Scavenger Hunt! Explore Fort Ticonderoga’s exhibits, watch weapons demonstrations, and talk with the engaging living history staff to find the answers to questions about Fort Ticonderoga’s defining history!
Beyond the epic military history and related programs, visitors will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and help dig into Fort Ticonderoga’s layered past in the garden as they tend to produce and flowers alongside soldiers from 3-4:30 pm.
Fort Ticonderoga’s REAL TIME REVOLUTION™ initiative now through 2027 will bring the critical years of 1775-1777 to life, offering a day-by-day, moment-by-moment experience of the people and events that defined the fight for independence. During this multi-year campaign, visitors will experience, in real time, the unsung construction of the Northern Department of the Continental Army, pulled from primary sources that detail our understanding of the period.
A NEW 2025 corn maze design is a popular activity as guests navigate 6-acres of towering corn stalks, answering history clues related to Fort Ticonderoga to conquer the maze! Complete the mission to sign your name on the wall of fame!
Ignite your imagination on the archeologically rich and historic waters of Lake Champlain with a narrated boat cruise just for homeschool families at 10:30am.
