Battle of Carillon Commemoration
March to the “Old French Lines” where French soldiers entrenched themselves during the epic Battle of Carillon on July 8, 1758. The Battle of Carillon would prove to be France’s greatest victory of the French & Indian War, which sealed Fort Ticonderoga’s legacy around the Atlantic World.

March behind British and Provincial soldiers to the Carillon battlefield to lay wreaths in remembrance of this immense battle.
12:00 p.m. Carillon Battlefield Guided Tour (Begins at the Black Watch Cairn)
Tour the Carillon Battlefield with a staff member portraying a soldier of the Black Watch, whose legendary sacrifice charging the French lines helped immortalize the battle world-wide. Discover how this battlefield preserves both the memory and the remains of this battle.
