Even before the Revolutionary War, Ticonderoga was legendary. From art to literature to the five U.S. Navy vessels that have borne its name, Ticonderoga has persisted as a place and a concept that has embodied strength, drama, and perseverance. This exhibit follows the legacy of Ticonderoga through the military and popular culture across both sides of the Atlantic from the 18th century to the 2000s.
Support for this exhibit was provided in part by the International Paper Foundation.
