Experience Behind-the-Scenes Tours, After-Hours Access, and Historical Deep Dives This Summer and Fall at Fort Ticonderoga
Fort Ticonderoga invites visitors to enhance their experience with a new lineup of premium programs and tours this summer and fall. Discover Fort Ticonderoga’s rich history and stunning natural beauty through exclusive behind-the-scenes access, before-and-after-hours tours, and in-depth explorations.
A highlight of the NEW offerings is “Ticonderoga’s Treasures of 1775,” a program featuring original museum artifacts from the dawn of the Revolutionary War. Led by Curator Dr. Matthew Keagle, this tour brings to life the dramatic events and captivating personalities of 1775, showcasing the documents and artifacts that witnessed history unfold, including those associated with Ethan Allen, Benedict Arnold, and Henry Knox.

Guests can choose from a variety of new and returning popular programs:
- Morning Glory: A Premium Garden Experience: Begin your day with a serene stroll and tour through the King’s Garden, exploring its rich history and cultivation.
- Ramparts or Ruins? A Guided Tour of Fort Ticonderoga’s Fortifications: Explore Ticonderoga after hours and learn about its strategic importance during the Revolution and ongoing preservation efforts.
- Ticonderoga Guns by Night: Witness dramatic 18th-century firepower demonstrations under the night sky.
- History Happy Hour on Lake Champlain: Enjoy a narrated cruise aboard the Carillon, Fort Ticonderoga’s 1920s tour boat, with historical tales and classic cocktails.
- Cannon and Coffee: Join Curator Dr. Matthew Keagle for an early-bird tour of Fort Ticonderoga’s artillery collection, with fresh coffee and a commemorative mug.
- Ticonderoga Treasures of 1775: Discover the stories of the Revolutionary War through original artifacts and documents with Curator Dr. Matthew Keagle.
- Premium Pavilion Tour: Explore the restored 1826 Pell Pavilion, delving into its history and viewing newly exhibited artifacts.
